Feel like Lewis & Clark – Explore the unknown
Our Semi Private Tours consists of a small group of 2-6 people. Drive out with one of our guides and explore new hiking trails and other tour venues which we usually haven’t explored yet. Tours depart from Manhattan. Tours typically last between 10-14 Hours. These tours are usually less confined to a time table and are also used for checking trail conditions, finding bus routes and lunch places. Participants should be in fairly good shape since the level and condition of trails is relatively unknown.

Restriction: Minimum age 14 and you have to be in fairly good shape.
Semi Private Tour - Thursday July 9th. - Berkshire & Catskills Mountains - Waterfalls and amazing views. (Please note, participants have to be in fairly good shape, a 3-4 hours hike w. a little rock scrambling is included in this tour)
WHAT TO BRING AND WEAR ON THE TOUR:
CLOTHES: according to the weather, Upstate NY is usually cooler than NYC. Dress in layers.
FOOTWEAR: Hiking Boots is the ideal or if you do not own hiking boots sneakers with good traction will do as well. Do not wear sandals, dress shoes or high heels.
FOOD: Enough for the entire day, not included in the price. (We might stop at a small grocery store on the way.)
WATER: In a plastic bottle.
MOSQUITO REPELLANT containing deet
SMALL BACKPACK: or fanny pack for your water, extra clothes, snacks etc. You will need both hands to be free during the hike.
CAMERA: With extra film/memory is highly recommended. You will experience breath taking scenery.
Semi Private Tours
We will first drive to the BerkshireMountains in the state of Massachusetts where we indulge in a short hike to the tallest waterfall in Massachusetts the BashBishFalls.
This is a picturesque 80-foot twin fall which cascades into a pool at the bottom of a deep snake shaped gorge. Bash Bish Falls has been a favorite subject of painters and photographers for more than 150 years. Even though this is a popular Berkshire attraction, when you arrive you will feel like you have discovered a secret, woodland cascade.
From the BerkshireMountains we will drive to the CatskillsMountains where we will visit North-SouthLake, the biggest campground in the Catskills offering both extraordinary scenic beauty and historical sites.
By the camping ground, we do a 3-4 hour hike where you will experience highlights such as AshleyFalls, Newman’s Ledge, Sunset Rock and Artist Rock. (Participants of the hike should be in a fairly good shape, a little rock scrambling is involved)
After this we will probably head back to NYC. Back, sometime between 5:30-7:30pm.
We will start our tour at 7:00 am. You will be picked up by one of our guides at the corner of 86th Street and Lexington Avenue, by the Petco store (4, 5 or 6 train to 86th street). DON'T BE LATE! You will be greeted by our tour guide and you will have to sign our liability waiver.
