Nature Center, Scenic Train Ride, Gondola Ride/Hiking and Hudson River Cruise 

Come out and enjoy the spectacular fall colors of the Catskill Mountains!

We will start our tour at 8 am in midtown Manhattan, 8th Avenue between 33rd and 34th Street (by Duane Reade) DON'T BE LATE! Come 15 minutes early to sign in.

You will be greeted by your tour guide for the day. You will sign our liability waiver, and after departure a light breakfast will be served on board the van.

We will stop by a small nature center with a couple of small gardens 

At the nature center, you will also see a few animals

The Nature Center is unique that they allow visitors to bring fruit and vegetables for the animals to consume. Each animal has a special sign listing favorite foods. You can’t go wrong with carrots, apples, lettuce/ spinach/ greens or plain popcorn.

On this tour we will explore and enjoy the spectacular fall colors of the Catskill Mountains. Enjoy a historic scenic train ride. The train will travel through spectacular sceneries such as small villages, rivers, rolling fields and of course majestic mountains.

You will most likely have the option of sitting in an outdoor or an indoor car.

At Belleayre Mountain you can experience a Gondola Sky Ride to take you to the summit above 3400 feet for spectacular views of the Catskill foliage. This ride is not included in the tour price, if you want to do this it will be an additional $20, or you can hike up/around the mountain for free (Above photo is from www.belleayre.com)

Lastly we will enjoy a one hour cruise on the Hudson River aboard the only 100% solar-powered boat in operation on the Hudson River.  The boat does not require any fossil fuels to operate. (Photo from hrmm.org)

Enjoy getting out on the water and see the Rondout Lighthouse, bridges, boats and wildlife.

We will drive back to NYC. Arrival back to NYC at approximately 8:30 pm.

What to bring and wear on the tour:

ID: Please bring a valid government issued identification. (Adults only)

CLOTHES: according to the weather, Upstate NY is usually cooler than NYC.

RAIN GEAR: Even with no rain in the forecast, the weather is very unpredictable in the mountains. We highly recommend you to bring rain gear.

FOOTWEAR: Good walking shoes, sneakers or Hiking Boots. Do not wear sandals, dress shoes or high heels.

FACE MASK: Covering both nose and mouth must be worn at all time in our transportation vehicle and whenever the venues that we will visit require it.

WATER: In a plastic bottle, especially on hot days. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.

CAMERA: With extra battery/memory highly recommended. You will experience breath taking scenery.

CASH: It is advisable to bring some cash for the optional gondola sky ride, souvenirs and gratuities for the guide which is left to your discretion.

FOOD: This tour does not include lunch. We had original planned to visit a fall festival where you can buy food, but because of the pandemic this festival is cancelled, so for this tour we will ask you to bring your own lunch.
