Christmas in Bethlehem & Christmas Village

 

We will start our tour at 9 am in midtown Manhattan, 8th Ave between 33rd and 34th Street (by Duane Reade) DON'T BE LATE! Come 15 minutes early to sign in. 

You will be greeted by your tour guide for the day. You will sign our liability waiver, and after departure a light breakfast will be served on board the van.

 

This tour is the ultimate holiday experience. We will start the day driving to Bethelhem PA, where we will visit the National Museum of Industrial History. The museum is dedicated to preserving America’s rich industrial heritage and houses more than 200 artifacts from across the world including some from the Smithsonian's National Museum. See a 115-ton Corliss steam engine, a 20 foot tall steam hammer, and learn what the life of a factory worker was like in the early 1900s. Photo credit: Glenn Koehler-NMIH.

 

We will then visit Christkindlmarkt, recognized as one of the top holiday markets in the world by the Travel and Leisure Magazine.

 

Two large heated tents with many aisles showcasing exquisite handmade works by the nation’s finest artisans, you will also find authentic German ornaments, nutcrackers, and other holiday collectibles while you listen to the heart-warming sounds of live Christmas music.

 

We will enjoy a linner (late lunch - early dinner) with non alcoholic beverages included at a local restaurant.

     

 

After lunch we will drive to a true Christmas fairytale land, Christmas Village. A virtual wonderland of more than half a million lights. Christmas Village was named Best Outdoor Christmas Display in the World by Display World magazine. Christmas Village started in 1948 on a farm by William Koziar.

 

Christmas Village also feature a Country Kitchen bake shop, Santa's Toy Shoppe, a huge Toy Train Display, a Refreshment Barn, hundreds of cute hand painted plywood cartoon characters and holiday music is playing everywhere. There are many buildings with options of going inside to warm up, maybe with a cup of hot chocolate.

 

Adding specially to the magnificent beauty of this place is the spectacular reflection of those thousands and thousands of lights in a lake situated directly in front of the main house. This place will definitely make any soul old or young in a holiday spirit. 

 
We will drive back to NYC.
Arrival back to NYC at approximately 10:00 pm.

WHAT TO BRING AND WEAR:

CLOTHES: According to the weather. We will be walking outside for a couple of hours, so make sure to bundle up to stay warm. Bring a winter hat, gloves, a scarf and dress in layers. Bring rather too much clothes than not enough.

CAMERA: With extra film highly recommended. You will experience breath taking scenery.

CASH: Although our tour is classified as an "all inclusive". It is advisable to bring some cash for souvenirs, Christmas gifts, snacks and gratuities for the guide which is left to your discretion.
