We will leave the modern world behind us and drive to the Sterling Forest to experience the New York Renaissance Fair. A Renaissance Fair is a recreation of a Renaissance or Medieval village. It is filled with costumed actors, crafts and games to give you a true feeling that you have stepped back in time. The New York Renaissance Fair offer continuous performances on eleven main stages by jugglers, jesters, minstrels and magicians, more than 100 crafts people, 16th Century games, rides, arts, food, music and dance.

Games includes:  Archery, Knife Throw, Axe Throw, Star Throw, Test O' Strength, Dart Toss, Leapin' Lizards, Chinese Crossbows, Load the Pirate's Cannons & more!

Costumes: To truly experience the “going back in time feeling”, we highly encourage anyone who wishes to attend the Renaissance Faire in costumes. If you wear a sword or dagger with your costume, it has to be "peace-tied." This means they are sheathed in such a manner as to make them unable to draw. You can use rope, ribbon, leather or other means

Roasted Turkey Legs might be considered as the "don't leave without trying one" Renaissance food. To list some others served: Steak-on-a-Stake, Sausage-on-a-Stick, Greek Gyros, Fish & Chips, Falafel and other Mediterranean fare, Pizza, Fajitas, Grilled Chicken or Sausage Sandwiches, Barbecued Pork and Chicken, French Fries, Fried Cheese or Mushrooms and Vegetable or Chees Pies.
If you are on a very special diet, the fair can make an exceptions to their "no outside food or beverage" policy if you are only bringing in small quantities for yourself.
