WILD WEST CITY & NATIVE AMERICAN POW WOW
We will start our tour at 10:00 am in midtown Manhattan. 8th Avenue between 33rd and 34th Street (by Duane Reade) DON'T BE LATE! Come 15 minutes early to sign in.
You will be greeted by your tour guide for the day. You will sign our liability waiver, and after departure a light breakfast will be served on board the van.

On this tour will tour you will experience some history and culture of the lives of cowboys and Native Americans. We will start the day driving to Wild West City to live out the old west. Wild West City is an authentic Western recreation of Dodge City, Kansas in the late 1800's with portrayals of real-life western characters, legendary events and a frontier town re-creation that brings the old west back to life. In the Main Street there will be different live action shows throughout day.

In addition to the shows, you can also enjoy museums along Main Street.
You will also find a barnyard zoo, visit an authentic 1880’s Schoolhouse, pan for gold and listening to live western music at a saloon. For a nominal fee you can also enjoy a miniature train ride, a stagecoach and miniature golf. In addition to the shows and exhibits, you'll find several choices for food, snacks, and shopping.

Next stop for the day will be Bear Mountain Pow wow. A Pow wow is a gathering of both Native American and non-Native American people to dance, sing, socialize, and honor American Indian culture.
|
|
This Pow wow usually attracts more than 500 Native American artists, educators, singers, dancers and performing groups from across the Americas.
To offer you a greater flexibility with eating options this tour does not include lunch, but many food options will be available at each venue we will visit. At the photo above you can see some typical food you can purchase at the Pow Wow.
There will be booths selling crafts, jewelry, food and more. You will be able to interact with representatives from tribes of the Lakota, Navajo, Mohawk, Seneca, Cherokee, Aztec, Mayan, Samoan, Hawaiian and many more.

We will drive back to NYC.
Arrival back to NYC at approximately 8:00 pm.

CLOTHES: According to the weather.
RAIN GEAR: or an umbrella is recommended regardless of the weather forecast
WATER: In a plastic bottle, especially on hot days. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.
CAMERA: With extra memory/film is highly recommended.
CASH: For lunch, souvenirs, snacks and gratuities for the guide which is left to your discretion.
